The last 15 years have been the most amazing ride we could ever have imagined. We’ve met the most amazing people with the most amazing stories, and had the privilege of assisting them with their next stage move. We’ve also had the privilege of assisting families with dispersing estates. And we’ve done it all with compassion, strong arms and a good sense of humor.
Deciding it’s time to hang up our aprons and holster our tape guns was one of the hardest choices we’ve ever made. The people, the adventures, the stories, the things we’ve learned…how will we live without them?
We have learned so much from each of our clients. We’ve learned grace, bravery and dignity. We learned that, as a species, we humans are pretty good. We learned that everyone is quietly heroic in some way. We learned that everyone needs someone to tell them they’re doing just fine and no, they don’t have more stuff than the rest of the world.
Our sister business, www.nextstagevintage.com, will continue on. We’ve enjoyed being able to find new homes for our client’s treasures and have built up a thriving online vintage business that we plan to keep going. We'll admit it, we love dusty old stuff.
To all our clients and business partners over the last 15 years, we say thank you for inviting us in and thank you for memories that make us smile, laugh and sometimes cry. For everyone who was kind enough to refer us to your friends and clients, thank you a thousand times over. It was such a blessing to have new clients come looking for us instead of us having to look for them.
With gratitude and a smile,
Laurie and the NextStage Team
